I’m outraged (so obviously)
I’m paying attention.
And a small village in Texas
is missing their idiot,
whose dogma is stepping
on my karma,
I’m visualize(ing) whirled peas
like crazy, as well as
practice(ing) random acts of kindness
and senseless beauty.
But given that we’re
It’ll be a great day when our schools
get all the money they need and the Air Force
has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber.
But then it takes more courage
to wage peace.
And although my honor student is way
smarter than your president, and says we should
live simply that others may simply
live, versus that shopping
are the answers,
I’m desperately confounded.
Want a brownie from the school’s bake sale?
Or how about my civil liberties?
I wasn’t using them any way.
But mostly and too seriously:
I tremble for my country
when I reflect
that God is just.
